Karelwood Oy - Forestry Expert

Karelwood Oy is a forestry company based in Joensuu with a wide range of expertise. Our services include the management of forestry assets of cities and municipalities, parkland and landscape logging as well as nature restoration work. The focus of the operations is on vegetation management work related to construction and maintenance of infrastructure.

Our staff includes experts in multiple fields and with us you can find expertise in forest asset management, logistics, land use agreements and advanced tree removal work and forest field planning. In field planning, we use modern GIS software and GNSS surveying equipment. Through our wide co-operation network, we employ approximately fifty people.

Our operations are fully certified: we meet the requirements of the PEFC certificate and apply quality and environmental management systems based on ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018 standards. Certification sets requirements for forest management, and our staff is trained to comply with these requirements in all their operations.
